Brake calipers

A brake caliper is a component which contains a brake piston and a slidably mounted brake pads. The brake caliper is firmly attached to the vehicle. During braking, the brake pads are pressed against the brake disc, creating a frictional force between the rotor and the pads which acts against rotation.
