The KNORR-BREMSE Group, headquartered in Munich, is the world's leading manufacturer of braking systems for railway and commercial vehicles. As a technological pioneer, KNORR-BREMSE has been active in the field of development, production, sales and service of modern braking systems for more than 110 years.

KNORR-BREMSE was founded in 1905 by engineer George Knorr. It is currently the world's leading manufacturer of brake systems for rail and commercial vehicles. In June 2010, a new Knorr-Bremse plant in Liberec, Czech Republic was ceremoniously opened.

The range of services of the Commercial Vehicles Division is based on cross-sectional technologies of tires, mechanics, electronics and complex control technology. Whether it's drive systems, compressed air supply, brake and traction control or wheel brakes: elements of these individual technologies are found in all systems. The KNORR-BREMSE system competence is reflected in perfect cooperation of a multitude of components.
