Kögel was founded in 1934 by Franz Xaver Kögel. Since then, the company has produced over 500,000 semi-trailers, trailers and superstructures for commercial vehicles. Kögel has introduced a number of innovations during its existence and has won several firsts. To name a few: the first swap body with support legs, the first semi-trailer with a lightweight construction or a patented tipping trailer with a central axle.
